Brad Foster - look, they made my little doodle huge! (Hey, I didn't mean it that way!)
"The old man hasn't been forgotten yet..."
Goodness, it really was a nice surprise to get the call that I would be on the Hugo Awards ballot again this year for Fan Artist. I'm still drawing and sending out things to fanzines, both print-only and those who put things up on the webs, but I'm never sure who in the latest crop of science fiction fans is even seeing those any more. But, evidently, enough of the old folks are still around, and maybe even a few of the new ones have seen and liked my stuff enough to nominate me yet again. Thanks all. As I think I've noted before, I do all of these for the fun of it, and getting some concrete feedback in the form of folks adding my name to their lists of favorites is the icing on the cake.

So, here we go again, I've put together this list of those pieces of art I had published in 2013 in sf fandom. If you've stumbled across this page while Google-searching to try to figure out who the hell this "Brad Foster" is on the Hugo ballot, then this is the stuff I drew that came out last year that makes me eligible for the award.

I've picked some of the larger pieces, usually covers, to showcase in the top rows of art shown. After that you'll find a full listing of all zines with my art for 2013. Where possible, I've added a link that will take you right to the entire fanzine to check out. These days, even folks who are still known mainly for publishing in print will often put up an online version as well, so it's possible to see a lot more of these.

(Finally, as I note on every page here, don't forget to check out my main site, where I do the pro-artist thingy, at Jabberwocky Graphix. Buy soon, and buy often, so I can continue to support my fannish habit!)

Here is the full list of sf zines that published some of my art in 2013, both in print and on-line. More and more of these, even if they have print editions, are also putting up on-line versions, so I've provided links where I can find them. (And remember, many of these editors are always happy to have new contributors, so don't make me do all of this by myself- send some of your own writing and art to them and join the fun! There's no money to be made here, but if we wanted to be rich, wouldn't we all have real jobs?)
