People who have followed my work over the years have commented on the number of images of dragons I've done. The explanation for that is easy enough: being totally fantasy creations, no one can tell me what they "should" look like, and I've enjoyed coming up with variations on the theme of that particular mythological creature. But I find it just as enjoyable to occasionally try my hand at reproducing the details of real-life creatures, and the amazing textures and contours of the reptilian form, the real-world reflection of the fantasy dragon, made bringing Iggy to "life" on paper both an artistic challenge and a joy to work on.
This is a limited-edition print, each copy signed & numbered by the artist. It is created from a film negative made directly from the original pen and ink artwork, then retouched by the artist, and printed by offset lithography on Cougar-white paper stock. Mounting and matting materials are either low-acid or acid-free. To maintain the quality of this work, do not display it where it will be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, or to extremes of temperature or humidity. I also recommend that you look at it once it is up on your wall (at least six times a week is considered the minimum), or else it will get sad and lonely, and the tear-stains will make it look less attractive.
