The two black and white options are drawn on 8.5" x 11" sheets. The "Quick Sketch" is your standard caricature, drawn while you wait. These can usually take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes, as I try to make every robot here totally unique. The "Finished Line Art" is a more studied, finished piece, more detailed and, as the title says, more finished and polished, than the 'quick" sketch. Both of these versions are hand drawn, and you can choose to receive the original artwork (extra shipping costs will be involved), or I can scan and upload the drawing to this website for you to download and print out at your home if you wish.
    The two color options are built off of the finished line art. After hand-drawing the basic image, I will scan it into the computer to add color using digital techniques. "Flat" color is bright and pretty, and many people like that version. "Fully Shaded" adds another whole level of depth and roundness to the final art (and takes quite a bit more time!) Since the color images are digitally created, I can print them out on 8.5" x 11" paper here to send you (again, shipping costs will be added), or can upload them to the site for you to download and print out.

    The Basics: All I'll need is a quality photo, the answers to a couple of questions about yourself or the subject of the picture to get a handle on what your robot is going to be doing, and payment must be made in advance. Also, when these are done in person I will take a picture of you holding the drawing. ALL bot images will be posted on this site, and I might sometimes use your photo as an example, as with the folks on this page. If we don't do this in person, I'd love for you to send me a photo of the subject of the caricature holding it next to their face for the official records. Be famous! Okay, be semi-famous.

    I will retain all copyright and usage rights to the art (Who knows, you might end up in book in the future). You get a special piece of one-of-a-kind artwork done specifically for you, just like these folks:
