This drawing is something of a companion piece to my Athenaeum endless library print, showing one of the many librarians that are needed to help staff the world's only infinite-capacity library. This rather elfish-looking lady has a special skill in reading some of the more arcane languages contained in the collection, and is seen here showing one of the lost-language examples from the section of the library where single-sheet scrolls began to be supplanted by bound volumes in the chronological history of the book.

This is a limited-edition print, each copy signed & numbered by the artist. It is created from a film negative made directly from the original artwork, then retouched by the artist, and printed by offset lithography on Starwhite paper stock. Mounting and matting materials are either low-acid or acid-free. To maintain the quality of this work, do not display it where it will be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, or to extremes of temperature or humidity. I also recommend that you look at it once it is up on your wall (at least six times a week is considered the minimum), or else it will get sad and lonely, and the tear-stains will make it look less attractive.
