This study of a red-tressed mother cat and her sweet faced child could be thought of as the Argent Park version of the classic Madonna and child image. My intent here was to evoke that connection of parent and offspring that is almost universal across species. The mother's face shows both her love of, and pride in, her young child, while the kitten is already glancing around, looking to explore the wider world around him, while still wanting to maintain that connection, that touch, with his loving mother.

This is a limited-edition print, each copy signed & numbered by the artist. It is created from a film negative made directly from the original artwork, then retouched by the artist, and printed by offset lithography on Starwhite paper stock. Mounting and matting materials are either low-acid or acid-free. To maintain the quality of this work, do not display it where it will be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, or to extremes of temperature or humidity. I also recommend that you look at it once it is up on your wall (at least six times a week is considered the minimum), or else it will get sad and lonely, and the tear-stains will make it look less attractive.
