This is the first over-sized feline portrait I did in pure black and white, fine line pen and ink, after completing two pieces in this series in full color (Blue Boy and Stalking Moon). After doing those single figure studies, I wanted to try a composition with two figures, working vertical against horizontal, and allowing for more exploration of the flowing of the feline form between the two bodies. As well, to add an artistic counterpoint to the previous color pieces, in which everything in the drawing except for the whiskers was in color, I have hand-colored the whiskers on both cats on each individual print in this limited edition.

This is a limited-edition print, each copy signed & numbered by the artist. It is created from a film negative made directly from the original artwork, then retouched by the artist, and printed by offset lithography on Starwhite paper stock. Mounting and matting materials are either low-acid or acid-free. To maintain the quality of this work, do not display it where it will be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, or to extremes of temperature or humidity. I also recommend that you look at it once it is up on your wall (at least six times a week is considered the minimum), or else it will get sad and lonely, and the tear-stains will make it look less attractive.
